I forgot yesterday, which I think in the wake of everything that happened is probably understandable. So here's a picture for yesterday:

That's the bus stop where I get on and off at Peck Hall. The on campus bus system seriously rocks.

Days 12 and 13

Yeah, if I keep apologizing for forgetting, this is going to get boring fast. So, here's yesterday. I took my keyboard apart and cleaned it quite thoroughly. Thing was filthy. It's much better now.

And for today, the gorgeous blue sky over Peck Hall. Though I must admit, I do wish we could get some rain.

Days Nine and Ten

Day nine (Saturday): Didn't do much today. Here's a picture I took a week or so ago (cheating, yes, but it's worth sharing). The Bonnaroo music festival is held in my town every year, and this is a bus belonging to someone who came to Bonnaroo this year. It's always worth driving through town the day or so before Bonnaroo opens just to gawk.

But this, for day ten? This is a guy who lives in Tullahoma. I saw him in Wal-Mart today. My mom works at Lowe's and she says he comes in there like this all the time.
Yes, that's a real, live parakeet on his head. It stays there all the time.

Day Eight

Meet my cat.

Have any of you got cats that would rather play with trash than with the expensive kitty toys? He has one of those kitty tunnels, the boxes you tie together with velcro? But he'd rather sit in this Olive Garden bag than in those expensive boxes. I buy him toys, he'd rather have a ball of crumpled up paper. What is it with cats?

Missed yesterday, even though I remembered to take a picture! Just got distracted and forgot to post it.

Here is yesterday's:

I went to the fabric store and got some strips of fabric to make new headwraps; I wanted a green one for Friday, which in case you didn't know, is Wear Green In Solidarity With Iran day (please participate!) and I also got a neat stripey fabric and a college print to make a headwrap for a friend who's a TX Longhorns fan. :)

Here's today:

This is Peck Hall, which is where my Tennessee History class meets. If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you'll see a man in a blue shirt & khaki pants walking down where the two sidewalks meet; that's actually my professor, LOL.

Day Five

Almost forgot to post tonight. Got caught up doing a touch of online activism in support of the Iranian people, and here I am a little after 9 going "oh, yeah, that pesky FUN stuff." LOL

Anyway, here, have some construction on campus. This is a pain in my neck EVERY day.

Hm. Can't see that very well, can you? Well, here, then, have an odd angle on the campus bus.

Day Four

I made this little pot garden thing for my mom for Mother's Day. Well, I didn't really make it, I just put it together. I actually bought the cup planter and all the plants. But I put it together myself! *is proud*

It's starting to rain. I'm glad I ran outside and took this picture when I did. :)

Day Three

Day Two

Went to Huntsville today to see my brother and his wife, who were in the area from Florida. Drove two hours to have lunch and two hours home again. This shot was taken from the side of TN Hwy 64, heading east toward Fayetteville.

My apologies for the bit of windshield reflection in there... that's what I get for cleaning the glass so I can see to drive... :)

Day One

This seemed like an intriguing idea when I first saw it - one photo every day for a year, and a little bit about my life. And I thought, "But I'm so boring!!" Oh, well. Be bored, then.

But first, allow me to introduce myself.

These are my dreadlocks. They're very new - they will be three weeks old on Tuesday - and I'm quite proud of them.
